Horizon Lists

Have you ever created a list in Horizon (say, for instance, using the Item Group Editor) and wanted to add a few items to the list after it was created? Well, you could start a new search all over, or you can simply append data to your list when using the IGE following this method:
  1. After you've opened Horizon and searched for items using the IGE (say a search for juvenile book CD's about horses using JBkCDHr with the Collection search option), press the Alt+F2 keys simultaneously to open the Compound Search window again.

  2. This time, define a new search criteria (say now you want all of the juvenile cassettes on horses as well, then search for JCasHors using the Collection option again), and then click the Append List check box on the Compound Search window.

  3. Now click Search (or press the Enter key) and you should see the original list with the new search criteria items appended right after it.

  4. The Compound Search window will reappear so you could search for more items to append, or you can just click Cancel (or hit the Esc key) to get it out of your face.
There you have it. If you have access to other table views other than the IGE (like the Holds Expiring table view) you can use this same method for appending items to your list.
